Dear Olive & Cocoa Community,

We have been watching and listening quietly for some time now, but today we are reaching out to add our voice and our resources to the cause of anti-racism. We stand firmly against racism and social injustice, and we are taking a long, hard look at what we can do to help end both.

Our work is guided by a simple tenet: We believe in equality for all humans. Therefore, in this moment, in support of Black Lives Matter and in honor of Juneteenth, we have donated $10,000 to Equal Justice Initiative. Going forward, we are committed to listening, to learning, and to making a difference.

For the past three months, the Olive & Cocoa team has worked incredibly hard to keep our community safe and well through the COVID-19 pandemic. They have rolled up their sleeves, gotten even more creative than usual, and contributed personally and professionally to keeping Olive & Cocoa not just up and running safely, but also up to our very high standards as we serve our customers and facilitate human connections in this unprecedented time.

Today, our concerns for safety and well-being go beyond our walls and into the greater community and, indeed, the world. We are grateful to have this space to add our voice to the cause of anti-racism and equality, and to make a commitment to doing the right thing.
